The Old Town Car Show and Full Gospel Christian Center would like to recognize the dedicated service and commitment of the Suffolk County Police Department in keeping us, our communities, roadways and highways safe.
On this 25th Anniversary of the 9/11/2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, we would like to express our gratitude for all they do for us, and their willingness to go above and beyond in the service of their community, and others.
This behavior was exemplified by the actions of the six Suffolk County Police Department members that participated in the search and recovery operations at Ground Zero, and as a result, succumbed to related illnesses. Their willingness to serve the public, even outside of the borders of Suffolk County, is the caliber of the individuals that protect us every day in ways that we do not even know about.
We presented this plaque to the Suffolk County Police Department, accepted on their behalf by Retired Lieutenant Thomas E. Paolicelli, of the Suffolk County Highway Patrol, as a token of our recognition and gratitude for their service.
May God bless them, their shifts all be safe, and their watches end in peace.
